I’m Avleen, a Surrey-based student with a deep passion for helping people, especially those affected by homelessness. My journey started with small acts of kindness, volunteering at local organizations, and realizing that real change begins when people come together.

That’s when I founded Hands of Hope — a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to creating care packages, organizing fundraisers, and partnering with local businesses to support our community.

Every website has a story, and this is mine. I started Hands of Hope because I wanted to do more than just talk about issues — I wanted to take action. Along the way, I’ve learned about the power of persistence, the importance of listening to people’s stories, and the joy of seeing a community unite for a cause.

My mission is simple: provide hope, dignity, and support to those in need. Whether it’s through raising funds, distributing essential items, or spreading awareness, I believe even the smallest gesture can make a difference. And I’m here to inspire others — especially youth — to believe they can make a difference too.
